Well we took our annual trip up camping and fishing and really had a good time. Both of the girls caught there very first fish as well! I got to try out my new vehicle on the dirt roads and it performed admirably.

Well for 18 years I always thought this is my ultimate responsibility with this kid, getting him a high school diploma. As he got older my influence on him slipped away, and at the end I can only offer a few words of encouragement. It was all on him. What he did would determine if he would graduate or not. I could do nothing but sit back and watch.
Well on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, at about 9pm, he did it. Tyler Dean Ellis graduated from Chandler High School. Great job son! I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished. Now is a new beginning for you and I believe you will make yourself a great life.

Well I have been thinking that this might be more of a milestone in my life than his. I am sure proud of my son and I am excited and relieved that his high school graduation is upon us. I figure it’s the last time I get to spend money on him while he is still a child, since he turns 18 next month. We will be sending out graduation annoucements soon, so if you want one please contact me. I am very proud of you son! Well done Lad!

Well we decided to do something fun for the girls during thier spring break, so we headed up to Flagstaff for thier first trip to SnowBowl. BreeAnna signed up for the RidgeRunner Snowboarding class for her first day on a snowboard. Elise decided on the Ski Wee class with skis. While the girls did thier thing, Kathy watched on carefully while Mike headed to the top for multiple runs.
Both kids did a great job for thier first day on the slopes and we are very proud of them.
I tried to keep up with the teenagers and ate snow on the first jump you see in this video I took from the chairlift.

Kathy found some contest with the local newspaper. If you submit a funny photo of a kid they could be selected to be “Clown-of-the-Day” at a circus that is setup in the high school parking lot. So she sent in a picture of BreeAnna and forgot about it. Later on we found out she won the contest, would have her picture in the newspaper, 4 free tickets to the circus, & Bree would get to participate in the activities.
The circus is the Zoppe Circus which is a small, family-run, traditional, circus. It is the same as it was generations ago which gives it a very endearing quality. It was not commercialized like the Barnum’s where everywhere you turn they are selling something. It was a group of performers, mostly related, who live and work together, wandering about showing off their skills.
