So my hosting company contacted me with a notice that said I am violating my terms by using my hosting account to store files that are not associated with the site itself. Items in violation:
Music, videos, etc… So I deleted them. It’s not a big deal. I have the music in the 3 other places now. (External Hard Drive, USB Stick, & Blackberry). The videos were all crap I downloaded a couple of years ago to watch on my phone. I have since moved on from watching full length movies on my phone so, delete.
We are about to enjoy our 2nd Christmas together and wanted to take a moment to tell you about our 2009. It was a big year for us as we combined our households finally into one great family.
Last Christmas we opened presents on Christmas eve then got in the car early the next day and went to Disneyland. The next three days we had a magical time in the Magical Kingdom. Kathy’s parents, Sue & Steve tagged along and made it that much more special.
In the fall 2008, Michael was given a big decision to make about moving to Chicago to keep his job. He finally decided to accept a different position within the same company based out of Tempe starting January 1st. He now is a project manager for installed digital signage for the hospitality industry.
Tyler was working part-time at Quizno’s earning himself enough money to have some fun with his friends before he lost his job in the summer.
Well it seems I lost my audience here. Not that I blame anyone, but I just have not had time to put up anything. With everything going on in my life right now it has been very hectic the last months and that means some things have to go by the wayside.
This year I started a new job. It is very new to me, doing stuff I have not done before. There is a steep learning curve. Also starting with a new boss and such I don’t feel the need to go home early; ie: give them a good 45 to 50 hours of hard work each week. And now I am not working at home so add in commute, day-care, lunches, etc…
By the time I get home everyone is screaming to eat, then there is homework and bathes. I keep finding out that the last thing I want to do after all of that is work on my site.
Now if that wasn’t enough, I am also moving in with Kathy. We are pretty much moved in, but I still have stuff at the old place to deal with. I have another month to sort that out thankfully.
I try to keep a presence with Twitter so find me over there. I will be taking a haitus from the blog, but will attempt to write at least once a month.
Tyler – The job has now dwindled down to 3 to 5 hours a week. I am consistently trying to make him understand that he cannot afford gas and such for his car with so few hours. I think he finally gets it, and he supposedly is out looking for a new/second job. He will be going to the dentist and nuerologist soon. And I also told him that if he can go the whole semester without any zeroes, that I would pay him $50.
Well the holidays are over. It seemed to go on and on and finally when it is time to go back to work, it seems it went so fast. I think I could get use to not working if I had to. So not only is it back to work time, but back to work at a totally different job. It’s the same company, but different division.
I think the biggest change with the new job is I am now going into an office instead of working at home. I have been working from home for quite some time and have done well with it. But I find myself shaving, showering, dressing, & driving now when my commute use to be from the bedroom to the couch. I’m not saying I don’t like the 9-5 go to the office mentality, it’s just that I just not use to it.
