Well, I am pleasantly suprised that this whole ordeal didn’t take very long at all. I have been offered a different position within the same company that doesn’t require me to move. This is the position I was hoping for so I am very pleased with the results. If all goes well, I will start right after the new year.
This will be quite a change in my life. I have been working from home for quite some time. I will now have to get dressed and go into work like most people. Of course I have done that before, I just am not used to it right now. I am looking forward to a new challenge and the opportunities it will bring. I have always excelled at anything I have tried and I feel very confident I will do the same in this new position. Some random thoughts I am having right now:
Well, I am not jobless, yet. My company asked me a couple of weeks ago to move to Corporate in Chicago to keep my current position. Today, I declined that offer. I hate the snow. I cannot ask Tyler to move to a new school in the middle of his Junior year of high school. It is not fair to him and I owe him more.
So needless to say, even though I am still working at the moment, I need to procure a new job very soon.
