Snowbowl 2010 Well we decided to do something fun for the girls during thier spring break, so we headed up to Flagstaff for thier first trip to SnowBowl. BreeAnna signed up for the RidgeRunner Snowboarding class for her first day on a snowboard. Elise decided on the Ski Wee class with skis. While the girls did thier thing, Kathy watched on carefully while Mike headed to the top for multiple runs.

Kathy found some contest with the local newspaper. If you submit a funny photo of a kid they could be selected to be “Clown-of-the-Day” at a circus that is setup in the high school parking lot. So she sent in a picture of BreeAnna and forgot about it. Later on we found out she won the contest, would have her picture in the newspaper, 4 free tickets to the circus, & Bree would get to participate in the activities.

The circus is the Zoppe Circus which is a small, family-run, traditional, circus. It is the same as it was generations ago which gives it a very endearing quality. It was not commercialized like the Barnum’s where everywhere you turn they are selling something. It was a group of performers, mostly related, who live and work together, wandering about showing off their skills.

When we were in Colorado over Thanksgiving weekend, we decided to take the girls to North Pole Colorado. This is basically an amusement park near Pike’s Peak with a complete Christmas theme. Of course Santa lives there and you can visit him right in his house. I had gone to this place with my parents when I was 4 and I do remember bits of that. It was neat to be able to take my daughters to the same place that I had gained some special memories. The girls had fun for sure and it was a great day. You can see the all the Pictures —->HERE.

We are about to enjoy our 2nd Christmas together and wanted to take a moment to tell you about our 2009. It was a big year for us as we combined our households finally into one great family.

Picture 092Last Christmas we opened presents on Christmas eve then got in the car early the next day and went to Disneyland. The next three days we had a magical time in the Magical Kingdom. Kathy’s parents, Sue & Steve tagged along and made it that much more special.

In the fall 2008, Michael was given a big decision to make about moving to Chicago to keep his job. He finally decided to accept a different position within the same company based out of Tempe starting January 1st. He now is a project manager for installed digital signage for the hospitality industry.

Tyler was working part-time at Quizno’s earning himself enough money to have some fun with his friends before he lost his job in the summer.
